Todd Applebaum, MBA, is the Managing Director of Converge Consulting and has expertise in business strategy, operations, manufacturing and supply chain management, working throughout the Life Sciences spectrum, including the pharmaceutical, biologics and medical device sectors. As Managing Director, he not only leads Converge, but also provides senior leadership for many of the firm’s complex projects.

Prior to founding Converge, Applebaum served as VP, Technical Operations at Ovascience, leading Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Technical Services as the company transitioned to commercial operations. He was key to building out the global operations team and establishing a manufacturing and cell processing network to support commercialization.

As VP of Research, Healthcare and Life Science at Gartner, Applebaum provided strategic insights to executives, analyzed best practices and authored research reports on industry trends. Key topics included building patient outcomes-focused operations, impact of personalized and precision medicines, global planning, track & trace technologies and operational & performance excellence.

Earlier in his career, he cofounded Maxiom Consulting Group, where he led an award-winning management consulting practice, providing Life Sciences companies with operations strategies, commercialization and launch planning, and operational excellence services.

Before the Life Sciences, Applebaum worked with multinational manufacturers while at Deloitte Consulting and was also part of a team teaching a Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate level course titled “Developing the CEO Team’s Value Chain Network Strategy.”

He holds a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute.
